Cast with sparkle, crafted with heart
Starring in this year’s bigger, brighter and bolder-than-ever pantomime spectacular Sleeping Beauty is the sensational Kelle Bryan – founding member of chart-topping girl group Eternal, and beloved TV star from Loose Women and Hollyoaks. Kelle brings unstoppable star power, vocal brilliance and shimmering stage presence as the enchanting Fairy Snowfall, casting her spell over a truly magical production.
Joining Kelle is local legend Sean Jones, best known for his unforgettable lead in Blood Brothers, who is back as Lester the Jester for his sixth Floral panto in a row – he really is that good!! – and ready to unleash another masterclass in panto mischief, laughter and heart.
Also raising the roof (and the laughs) is the hilarious and high-voltage Quinn Patrick who returns as the outrageous Nanny Nora – bringing with him a truckload of glitter, sky-high wigs, jaw-dropping costumes and side-splitting comedy that guarantees non-stop fun from curtain up to final bow.
With this powerhouse trio at the helm, Sleeping Beauty promises a traditional Christmas experience that’s West End quality and pure festive magic… and absolutely not to be missed.
The production, staged by the internationally renowned UK Productions, features original choreography, spectacular lighting, sumptuous costumes, and a script brimming with wit, warmth and relevance. It’s a quality benchmark, created to engage every child in the room – whether it’s their first time in a theatre or their fiftieth.
A resilient framework in every fairytale twist
At its core, Sleeping Beauty reflects the principles of the Resilience Framework – a guiding model that helps young people develop strength, flexibility and wellbeing.
Through laughter, peril, and celebration, the show sparks key conversations in:
- Self-awareness & emotional expression – from Aurora’s journey of self-discovery to Silly Billy’s heartfelt loyalty.
- Problem-solving & independence – seen in the characters’ responses to obstacles, curses and comical setbacks.
- Trust & relationships – a recurring theme in fairy tales, encouraging children to reflect on who they rely on and why.
- Hope & optimism – despite the 100-year nap, this is a story rooted in the belief that things can get better.
- Positive role models – embodied by heroes and helpers who model courage, kindness and self-belief.
- Cultural identity & belonging – the pantomime tradition itself invites every child to feel part of something bigger, together.
Wellbeing, wonder and wiggles of laughter
Amidst increasing pressures on young people’s mental health and social confidence, pantomime offers a rare tonic: collective joy.
Children laugh together, sing together, and feel brave together. In a world of screens, it’s a real-time, real-life antidote – the kind that stays with them long after the final “He’s behind you!”
Make it a memory – and a learning opportunity
We offer school-friendly performances at accessible pricing, including a BSL-interpreted show (Sat 13 Dec) and a relaxed and autism-friendly show (Sun 4 Jan), providing inclusive access for learners.
Bring your class and let them live the lesson: that stories have power, that emotions are tools, and that joy is serious business.
