Blue Lounge – Winter Gardens Room

Beginning with a short reading from his children’s fantasy novel, Rootspell, longlisted for the Hachette Children’s Novel Award 2026, Kevin will help young writers discover inspiration in the world around them, spark ideas of their own, create characters and turn their stories into dialogue. They’ll write a short scene, with an opportunity for volunteers to bring their work to life.

Suitable for ages 8–12; no previous writing or acting experience needed.

Parents don’t need a ticket, only attending children.
