BREAKING FREE
Breaking Free is a powerful and deeply personal play by Christopher Power that explores resilience, self-liberation, and the battle against societal and institutional constraints. Inspired by true events, the story follows Christopher’s journey from childhood through adolescence, navigating a world that often misunderstands him.
SPECIAL TEA
Set in a questionable tea shop selling suspect “herbal blends,” Special Tea is a genre-bending, jazz-funk-infused fever dream of crime, conspiracy, and caffeine dependency. When bailiffs seize their mystical tea plant, shop owners Hugo and Tyler must embark on a bizarre, high-stakes heist to retrieve it. Their journey takes them through haunted holiday camps, train-riding council estate druids, and an unhinged nail- fetishist landlord, all leading to a showdown with a possessed ventriloquist and his monstrous puppet overlord.
Blending dark humour, original music, and absurdist horror, Special Tea is a chaotic and unpredictable ride where reality is steeped in madness.
THE EXECUTION OF PRIVATE SLOVIK
Based on a devastating true story. Private Eddie Slovik’s life hangs in the balance. Senior officers determine his fate: execute him for desertion or send him back to the front line. As war rages across Europe, in a dark corner of France, a different battle unfolds – one of conscience, duty, and morality. With time running out, they must decide: will they follow their orders, or will they defy the chain of command?
PRIOR TIES
In the dead of night, Eleanor flees from her past and seeks sanctuary at Bidston Priory, where she is taken in by the enigmatic Prior. She soon discovers she is not alone—three other guests reside within the priory’s walls, but they are no ordinary travellers. As Eleanor navigates this unexpected refuge, she learns that family is not always the one you are born into but the one you choose.
With a cast of five, ‘Prior Ties’ is a story of self-acceptance, identity, and the
strength found in unlikely bonds. Blending the eerie with the heartfelt, this play explores what it truly means to belong.
