Interactive Theatre's globetrotting show is truly quite legendary, selling out at venues like Edinburgh Fringe, Raffles Singapore and Sydney Opera House. It returns to the Floral Pavilion in 2018, but be warned: it'll sell out here too, so early booking is essential!

When the audience become diners in the ‘Faulty Towers’ restaurant and are served by Basil, Sybil and Manuel, pretty much anything can happen – especially with two-thirds of the show improvised.

The fun starts as guests wait to be seated, then hurtles along in a tour de force of gags, shambolic service and a ‘70s-style 3-course meal. Expect the unexpected in this ‘two-hour eat, drink and laugh sensation!’ (Daily Telegraph).

Born in 1997, Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is a fully immersive, highly improvised and site-specific piece of comedy theatre that continues to be acclaimed around the world by audiences and critics alike. It opened a residency in London’s West End in 2012 and continues there still, ranking consistently high in TripAdvisor’s top London theatre listings.Ten teams of cast now tour the world virtually non-stop.

Dave Spikey - Juggling on a Motorbike

Thursday 24th January 2019 7.30pm
All Tickets £19.50*

Over 14s only

Dave had been working in the NHS for 19 years as a Biomedical Scientist when in 1987 someone uttered the immortal words, “You’re really funny, you should be a comedian” and for some reason, he took them seriously!!  Only a few short months later he was crowned the winner of the national talent show “Stairway to the Stars”. Larry Grayson, one of the judges, told him that it was a close run thing on the night but what clinched the award for Dave was his routine about a juggler on a motorbike.

Fast forward 13 years (Is that possible?) to Friday 13th October 2000 , the day Dave switched off his microscope for good and found himself, the following Monday, singing “Walking on Sunshine” on rain swept local car park dressed as a giant berry!! So here he is in 2019 celebrating the 32nd anniversary of his comedy career.

In this show he will look back on his remarkable life and his incredible journey from working class lad to Chief Biomedical Scientist to much loved comedy performer and writer via Phoenix Nights, Eight out of Ten Cats, Bullseye, Dead Man Weds, Magnolia, The Royal Variety Show, Parkinson and many more. He often reflects that maybe none of this would have happened and he might still be looking down his microscope if it wasn’t for the juggler on the motorbike.

*Includes a £1.50 per ticket fee. Fees capped at the first 8 tickets. No fees to Friends of the Floral.

Hello Again - the Story of Neil Diamond

Thursday 14th March 2019 7.30pm
All Tickets £25.00*

Tribute shows, Homages, Celebrations ? There are just so many. Some good, some bad, they come and go in and out of vogue, much like the artist(s) that they are emulating. A very select few however, are just so good, that they become a sensation in their own right, thus becoming a must see, the only show for fans of the original artist.

Hello Again-The Story of Neil Diamond most certainly falls into this category, with a cast that can proudly boast past credits to include Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Spice Girls, Bay City Rollers, Freddie Starr, Culture Club, The Drifters and many more, its no surprise that this show has accelerated itself to becoming the talk of theatre land.

It's also no surprise, when you consider the subject matter…One Neil Leslie Diamond, born a star on 24th January 1941, in his early years an in-house songwriter at the now legendary Brill Building, scoring his first solo hit in 1966. 50 years and over 125 Million records sold, his ongoing story carved deep in the annals of music history is one that must be told.

Enter Brooklyn Creed & The Salvation Band, dubbed The Voice of Diamond, Brooklyn carries huge expectation on his shoulders. Born with an uncannily similar timbre to his idol and an exceptional guitar player, Brooklyn soon sends any competition running home to their mothers.’

The Salvation Band, great friends and one of the hottest live bands in the UK, coupled with Brooklyn Horns* and Ascending Strings* hand pick specific live and studio versions of Diamond’s performances under the critical gaze of MD/ Keyboard player Dave Jenkins to ensure absolute authenticity.

Show creators/ producers, Darren Bazzoni and Juanita Diaz were absolutely insistent in keeping quality and consistency paramount throughout, employing one of the best Production teams in the business, Network Productions. Sound, lights & video are in safe hands with the crew responsible for numerous Smash Hit Productions.

Evocative imagery, video and narration enhance the magic, as the show takes you on a musical journey through Neil Diamond’s glittering 50 year career. From The Bang Years to the present day you’ll soon find yourself singing along to all the hits including Sweet Caroline, Cracklin’ Rosie, Forever in Blue Jeans, Song Sung Blue, Hello Again, Love on the Rocks, America and many more.

The FUREYS are responsible for some of the most stirring music ever to capture the public imagination. Their folk based music has received standing ovations in some of the biggest concert halls of the world and they credit their musical ability to their parents, Ted and Nora, who were well known musicians themselves. Avenue Q is the laugh out loud show that’s had sell out runs on Broadway, in the West End and all across the UK and now you can see what all the fuzz is about at Floral Pavilion.

This cheekily charming musical tells the story of the loveable (and unforgettable) characters on a downtown New York street trying to make sense of life’s burning issues – like what do you do with a BA in English? How do you find your purpose? And is the internet really just for ...nevermind.

Packed with mischief, bad behavior and a little political incorrectness, Avenue Q is truly the musical like no other - so don’t let your life suck, book your tickets today!

Created by Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez (Co-creator of Book of Mormon and writer of the songs for Disney’s Frozen).

From the producers of Footloose, Flashdance and American Idiot.

"X-rated Sesame Street with a hint of Friends. It's brash, vulgar, puerile, sometimes downright obscene, and I loved every minute of it"
The Sunday Times - 2nd July 2006 / Christopher Hart

5/5 “the perfect feel-good musical. “Avenue Q is furr-larious! We couldn’t stop laughing from start to finish”

Bootleg Blondie
Saturday 27th April 2019, 8:00pm
All Tickets £17.50*

BOOTLEG BLONDIE is the official Debbie Harry & Blondie tribute band and the only Blondie tribute to play the legendary CBGBs in New York City before its demise in 2006. CBGB was the Holy Grail of American Punk and New Wave, where the real Blondie first kicked off their career.

Debbie Harris and Bootleg Blondie have played the Isle Of Wight Festival, the 100 Club, the Hammersmith Palais and the Electric Ballroom in London, Eric’s in Liverpool and have opened up for amongst others The Undertones, Slade, Bad Manners, The Beat, Heaven 17, Toyah, Hazel O’Connor, Visage, Bananarama, Altered Images, Howard Jones, Chas and Dave, Tony Hadley and can be seen at all the major venues and festivals around the UK and Europe.

Debbie Harris and the boys have met the REAL Blondie and are officially endorsed by the band. Debbie Harry got in touch in 2006 when she heard we were playing CBGBs in New York City to wish us good luck with our show and when Clem Burke, Blondie’s charismatic drummer, found out that we were making a replica of his Premier drum kit, he arranged for us to meet him to sign our drum kit which we use at all our shows. ‘During the 2010 Blondie tour of the UK we took Clem out for a trip around London in our tour bus, he signed that too!’

In 2014 Clem invited Debbie and Andy to a recording session at the Foo Fighters’ famous 606 Studio in Los Angeles, where they saw Clem and the awesome Neve mixing desk in action!

Debbie and Andy got married in March 2016 and to their great delight received two video messages from both Blondie and Debbie Harry herself congratulating them on their wedding day. What a wedding present!

And probably the best Xmas present in the world ever was in 2016 when Clem Burke came along to a Bootleg Blondie gig and actually got up and played drums on stage with the band! He said afterwards that watching and playing with Bootleg Blondie was very emotional. Well Bootleg Blondie were very touched by Clem’s presence!

In May 2017 Bootleg Blondie had the unbelievable honour of being mentioned on Blondie’s 11th studio album ‘Pollinator’.Debbie Harris, lead vocalist of Bootleg Blondie, has the looks, the voice and the attitude of the original Blondie bombshell and like her heroine is typically outrageous on stage. She has been known to wear dustbin liners, thigh length boots and t-shirts with more holes than t-shirt! Debbie’s pride & joy is her guitar that she plays at every show and is signed by all the Blondie members.

The Legend of Springsteen
Saturday 4th May 2019, 8:00pm
All Tickets £23.50*

The producers of the world renowned Ultimate Eagles bring you their latest concert, celebrating the music of the legend that is Bruce Springsteen!

No one reproduces legendary musical concerts with the accuracy, reverence or skill that “The Legend of Springsteen” brings to the stage. They easily recreate that famous ‘stadium atmosphere’ as they pay homage to one of the greatest singer songwriters of ageneration.

Not a tribute band by any means, this show stars a cast of internationally renowned musicians that have already toured the world with theatre shows and celebrities alike. In the past members have shared stages alongside artists such as Journey, Joe Cocker, Paul Young, Ringo Starr, The Commitments, Go West, Bonnie Tyler, John Legend and many others.

This ‘unstoppable steam train of an experience’ will power through all of the stadium rock classics of “Born in the USA”, “Glory Days” and “Born to Run” and journey on through Springsteen’s massive collection of record breaking hits.

No other show captures that legendary spirit and energy as the Legend of Springsteen take to the stage and welcome you to ‘worship at the alter of The Boss!’

“I’ve seen the future of Nostalgia...”
“I’ve never seen such energy, respect or musicianship on stage!”
“The Whole band really is world class.”

PJ Proby with special guest Wayne Fontana
Thursday 16th May 2019, 7:30pm
Tickets £26.50*

PJ PROBY, a legendary 60’s Super Star Icon, first invited to the UK by The Beatles, went on from being an American Star to a Super Star in Europe. With hits such as “Somewhere”, “Maria”, “Together”, and ofcourse the biggest hit that started everything off for him in the UK “Hold Me”. In his early career PJ would lay down the vocals on Elvis Presley’s future releases to enable the Star to fulfil his movie contracts, then Elvis would put his own vocals down, for the finished article.

PJ has been a Star for 5 decades now, and at 80 years old is still going strong, however, it is time to put the guitar down, hang up the stage suits and enjoy his retirement.

PJ’S Special Guest on his Farewell Tour is another 60’s Super Star, WAYNE FONTANA. Wayne had hits on both sides of the Atlantic. Wayne’s hits include “UM, UM, UM, UM, UM, UM”, “Game Of Love”, “Pamela, Pamela”, “Groovy Kind Of Love” and many more.

Having toured consistently throughout Europe and Asia, now making their first UK Tour will be the excellent 60’s band THE REVOLVERS.

A great night of Nostalgia, Laughter, 60’s Hits, and more.

John Coghlan's Quo
Saturday 18th May 2019, 8:00pm
All Tickets £17.50*

John Coghlan joined Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster in their newly-formed band ‘The Spectres’ in 1962. The group went through a series of name changes, before becoming Status Quo in the late 60s when Rick Parfitt joined the line-up. There followed a string of chart-topping hits and albums that included Pictures of Matchstick Men, Paper Plane, Caroline, Down Down, Rockin' All over the World and many more before John left the band in 1981. For Quo fans and critics alike, this time is often regarded as Quo’s “Classic” period.

In 2013 and 2014, John re-joined Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt and Alan Lancaster for two sell-out Status Quo ‘Frantic Four’ Reunion Tours all over the UK and Europe that recaptured the excitement of the ‘Classic’ Quo.

John Coghlan’s Quo can be seen by audiences all over the UK and Europe recreating an authentic “70’s Sound” in keeping with John’s time with Status Quo. Aside from John on Drums, the band features long-term member Mick Hughes on Guitar & Vocals, Rick Chase on Bass Guitar & Vocals and completing the line-up Rick Abbs on Guitar & Vocals.

A typical John Coghlan’s Quo show will always include evergreen ‘classic’ Quo standards but in addition the Set List will often feature rare songs not heard for many years or even on occasion, never before.

One thing you will enjoy is a great night of Quo music as it should be.

Firmly positioned as a leading exponent of his instrument, “The hottest guitarist in the world” (Sunday Times), Miloš Karadaglić, continues to top record charts and delight audiences worldwide.

His first three releases on Deutsche Grammophon achieved major chart successes around the globe and turned him into “classical music’s guitar hero” (BBC Music Magazine) overnight. His 2014 recording of Rodrigo’s concertos had the Sunday Times calling him “The King of Aranjuez”, while “Blackbird - The Beatles Album” (2016) was received with unanimous acclaim.

Miloš has appeared in recital at almost all major concert halls and festivals around the globe and has worked with many of the world’s leading orchestras and conductors. He is also the first ever classical guitarist to have performed in solo recital at the Royal Albert Hall in London, The Guardian commenting: “More extraordinary by far, however, was the way a single guitarist... could shrink the Hall’s cavernous space into something so close.” The Independent concluded: “... a sleight of hand that makes Karadaglić not only a magician, but a serious and accomplished musician”.

The Manchester Acoustic Blues Festival
Sunday 2nd June 2019, 6:00pm
All Tickets £11.50*

The Manchester Acoustic Blues Festival has run as part of the independent Manchester Biennial Arts celebration since 2013. Most often referred to as ‘MABS Fest’ the event established itself as one of the UK’s leading roots and acoustic events attracting performers from all over the world. Due to the dreadful terror attack in May 2017 the event was postponed and later held outside the City at a different venue later that year.

For 2019 in a collaboration with Floral Pavilion New Brighton the event will run as a one day event as part of the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain. MABS Fest continues to showcase a wide cross section of the very best in acoustic blues music in Britain today.

BEX MARSHALL was voted Best Female Solo Acoustic Artist in the European Blues Awards 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018 as well as Best Female Vocalist and Album of the Year in British Blues Awards 2013. Bex toured with Big Brother and the Holding Company on the last UK tour as the voice of Janis Joplin and has just finished her fourth 30 date US tour. She will also be touring Brazil and Australia in 2019 in preparation for her next album release. Her unique style of guitar playing is a combined technique of slide, blues rock with ragtime and roots pickin’. Her voice is a powerful melting pot of heartache and rock diva soul.

“A Guitar playing goddess who sings like an angel, writes like Dylan and smiles like the devil” - Booker T

Over 40 years ago BLUESMAN MIKE FRANCIS began touring Europe with a band that was to later provide a prominent member of Bad Company. Having worked with a number of Soul, Blues & Rock legends including the late Greg Lake, he recently teamed up with lifelong friend, Tina Turner and original Tears for Fears guitarist Neil Taylor to record a ‘new era of blues’ project with the intention of introducing the genre to a whole new generation of followers. A favourite on the European Festival and Blues Cruise circuit Mike was a 2013 finalist in the European Blues Awards.

“Delivers an unmistakable Memphis atmosphere combined with Silicone Valley” - Music Underground Croatia

Now based in Salford DAI THOMAS specialises in Blues and Old Timey from the Acoustic Era, roughly before WW2, played on a battery of fine, old instruments in a multitude of styles. His live performances are powerful and spectacular and his obvious passion for the music continues to delight his audiences far and wide. Eddi Reader

Friday 14th June 2019 8.00pm
All Seats £25.00

Eddi Reader grew up in Glasgow and Irvine, Scotland and it was in those towns that she learned to use music as a vehicle for communicating with others through busking and performing at the local folk clubs.

In the early 1980s, Eddi travelled around Europe with circus and performance artists before moving to London where she quickly became a sought after session vocalist. She famously harmonized with Annie Lennox touring with the Eurythmics, after her time with successful punk outfit Gang of Four.

Her rare blend of meltingly true vocals and towering romanticism combine with an astute and pragmatic nature to make her a unique and powerful figure in contemporary British music. She has effortlessly developed into one of popular music’s most thrilling and affecting performers.

Down Our Street
Thursday 29th August to Sunday 1st September 2019, 7:30pm
2:30pm Matinee on Saturday and Sunday
Tickets £18.50* (£16.50* conc)

Wirral writer Brian McCann’s Down Our Street is the musical play celebrating the life and times of Cammell Laird, from the industrial revolution to the present day. For well over a century and a half, ‘The Yard’ was the employer of thousands upon thousands of people from, the Wirral, across the water in Liverpool and beyond. The town of Birkenhead was built around the Shipbuilding industry and most families, if not all had some connection to Cammell Laird. Through drama, comedy and song, Down Our Street celebrates this through the eyes of the people of Merseyside and the workers ‘down the yard’.

The show, once described in the media as ‘Birkenhead’s Les Miserables’ has had several outings, the last being here at the Floral Pavilion in 2017, which enjoyed packed houses and audiences leaving the theatre singing! This new production has a revised Act 2, bringing the Cammell Laird story right up to date.

"Down Our Street is a triumph of belief and sincere honesty and a wonderfully funny, enlightening, educational and sometimes heart-breaking musical" - Ian D. Hall, Liverpool Sound and Vision

*Includes a £1.50 per ticket fee. Fees capped at the first 8 tickets. No fees to Friends of the Floral.

Count Arthur Strong - Is There Anybody Out There?
Saturday 19th October 2019, 8:00pm
All Tickets £22.50*

As well as being the all-round entertainer we all know and love from the telly, Count Arthur Strong is also a lifelong fan of astronomy, since having been given a microscope, or whatever it is they use, for Christmas when he was a small precocious baby. In fact, it’s said the first word he spoke was ‘Uranus’. In this, his brand-new show, he seamlessly combines the very best showbiz entertainment you’ll currently find, in the world, possibly? as he wrestles with some of the big questions that other all-round entertainers shy away from. Such as:

Are we alone in the universe?
Is there life on Mars bars?
2lbs of potatoes.
Packet of ginger nuts.
Don’t lose this shopping list.

‘Do not miss this not to be missed type of thing! If I wasn’t in the show I’d definitely be in the audience watching myself intently. Laughing and learning in equal measure. Thoroughly happy to pay the admission fee and definitely not asking for a refund. Also not rustling sweet wrappers and fiddling with my sodding telephone with a gormless expression on my face. See you there!’. Arthur

“Undeniably brilliant” - Brian Logan, The Guardian

“Pure genius and pure tribute to the golden age of vaudeville” - Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard

“Can safely be mentioned in the same breath as Tommy Cooper” - Steve Bennett, Chortle
