Over The Top Rope – King of The Ring

It promises to be an afternoon of non-stop action when all your favourite heroes and villains of All Star Superslam Wrestling meet in a giant Over the Top Rope - King of The Ring. Unlike a Royal Rumble, a King of The Ring match features all the wrestlers in the ring from the beginning. The only way for a wrestler to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope on to the floor. The last man standing in the ring will be crowned the King of The Ring. Anything goes. It will be friend against friend and foe against foe as the grapplers battle for supremacy. One thing is for sure, it will be sensational.

Following a remarkable recovery from a diagnosis of terminal cancer, Wilko Johnson the original Dr Feelgood guitarist, actor (Game of Thrones character Ser Ilyn Payne) and all round national treasure has enjoyed a rousing return to the live arena, including a number 1 album with Roger Daltrey (Going Back Home), a sold out show at The Royal Albert Hall to mark his 70th birthday and, most recently, the release of Blow Your Mind, his first album of new material in decades.

Wilko is famed for his blistering chop-chord strumming action (the 'stab', as he describes it), a technique inspired by his admiration of the late Pirates guitarist Mick Green. With this electrifying sound, his trademark black-suited, scowling look and his characteristic strut, Wilko became one of the guitar heroes of the 1970s and beyond, not to mention on of rock 'n' roll's most extraordinary characters. He, alongside his original Feelgood bandmates, is also widely acknowledged as a forefather of punk on both sides of the Atlantic, fans ranging from Joe Strummer to Blondie.

Following a stint with Ian Dury & The Blockheads in the 1980s, he formed the Wilko Johnson Band, with Blockheads bassist Norman Watt-Roy. Featuring former Blockhead Dylan Howe on drums, the trio is known as one of the most exciting R'n'B bands in the world today.

Special guest 'Rock and Roll's Greatest Failure John Otway.

AN EVENING WITH AGGERS & TUFFERS

By popular demand, Jonathan and Phil have teamed up for a brand new show.
From their first Evening With Aggers and Tuffers in 2016, they were an immediate hit with cricket fans and non-lovers of the game alike and have gone on to sell out theatres all over the country.
Tuffers was the bad boy of English cricket in the 1990s, but the best spinner - left-arm or otherwise - as well. Known as The Cat because of his love of dressing-room naps and, rarely seen without a beer and a fag, Tufnell has always been something of a folk hero. Since retiring, he has carved out a successful TV career, appearing in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, The Jump, Strictly Come Dancing and he was Matt Dawson’s opposing team captain in BBC’s long-running series, A Question of Sport.
This is a fascinating, entertaining, no-holds-barred evening and you can tweet Aggers with your own questions. This is the ideal present for the sports lover in your life.

Andy Fairweather Low came to prominence as the lead singer in Amen Corner clocking up hit after pop hit. Songs such as Bend Me Shape Me, Hello Suzy, ( If Paradise is ) Half As Nice are remembered to this day. But if you were paying close attention you might have picked up a clue in the magnificent Gin House to Andy’s future musical collaborations.

Since the early days Andy has gone on to work with Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, David Crosby, The Band, Elton John, Roger Waters... and hundreds more. Now following a solo path, his first solo album in 24 years Sweet Soulful Music was released in 2007 followed by The Very Best Of Andy Fairweather Low which was released in the UK in June 2008.

In fact Andy has been touring and releasing CD Albums since then and is building a strong following having now released four CD Albums, one Live DVD and a three disc box set DVD / double live CD which debuted in the Amazon Box Set Top 50 in it’s very first week of release.
 
In 2018 Andy completed a 41 date UK tour with an extended line up and this 2022 tour again features an extended line up including the addition of the Hi Riders Special Soul Review.
