Led by gifted song-writing, impeccable playing, and honeyed harmonies, The Travelling Band’s shimmering blend of cosmic-country-pop, folk, and bar band rock has made them one of the most talked about artists to emerge from the Manchester music scene in many a year. This 6-piece group have built a strong loyal cult of followers in their home city and across the UK.

The Travelling Band recorded their debut album ‘Under The Pavement’ in New York with legendary producers Eric ‘Roscoe’ Amble and Tim Hatfield (responsible for albums by Steve Earle, Ryan Adams and Regina Spektor). Shimmering, twang-pop melodies and gorgeous harmonies bask in a gentle psychedelia which lends the album an otherworldly glow. The Travelling Band are most at home on stage and were the winners of the coveted New Talent contest at Glastonbury 2008, claiming a slot opening the Other Stage, and are fresh from opening The Park stage at this year's festival.
